Definition of a SHORT FILM:
A film that isn't considered to be a feature film. It normally doesn't run longer than 40 minutes. Short films can be produced amateurs or by professional productions. Short films are often made by independent film makers for non profit, either with a low budget or no budget. The first films were presented in public in 1894 through Thomas Edison's Kinetoscope. In the early 1910's, short films are usually in comedy genre, this is because to engage people to consume the product.
